FSPA National Education Conference and Awards Ceremony
The FSPA National Education Conference & Awards Ceremony took place this week in Dublin in the beautiful setting of the Royal Hospital, Kilmainham.
Food allergens and cross contamination of food allergens was the focus of the FSPA event, with an excellent line up of speakers including Adrian Cummins of the Restaurant Association of Ireland, Simon Flanagan of Safefood and Simon Flanagan of University of Reading. A lively discussion ensued on the food allergies and the related health risks and dangers and how the food industry in Ireland needs to manage allergens and cross contamination.
The FSPA Food Safety Quality Assurance Awards were presented to award winners by Mr. Tom Doorley. The winners of this year’s prestigious Food Safety Professionals Awards were: St Patrick’s University Hospital (Dublin); Sodexo at Novartis (Cork); The Farm Gate, Midleton; Colaiste Na Rinne, Waterford and Waterford lnstitute of Technology.
The event featured prominently in online and printed press.
